Some more Good news..

This is a story that has grabbed our attention

"Throughout the ordeal, I needed to stay with my family. It was an enormous stress. I needed to follow the trial. I wanted closure," Ms. Janelle-Gervais said.

Mr. Boisvenu won a major victory yesterday when the Quebec government tabled a bill that requires employers to grant a leave of absence of up to two years to employees whose child or spouse is slain. Employees or their children who suffer serious bodily injury as a result of a crime will also have the right to a two-year leave of absence.

Story behind the Story

While reading up on some cases on the internet I came across this one.

No secret files -- just taking dozens of calls from victim's families; following up any lead; and sometimes sitting quietly with a grieving mom. Cold cases get solved because officers still care.
